Here’s what I’ve been up to since my last post.
Attended the Raid on Fort Pierce
Attended the Christmas Parade
Enjoyed the musical holiday lights and a wonderful Christmas with my family around me
Went on a camping trip on an island in the Indian River Lagoon for New Year’s Eve
Took photos of a subtle sunrise on a winter morning
Read a book or two and dealt with two sinus infections (one of which was mine, the other James’), acute bronchitis (Jim), one failing student (who managed to eek by in the end) and one history fair project (on the Indian Removal Act). I also continued working on the story I’ve been writing and of course, kept up with Saponifier (love the last issue, and the next one is on high end products, so it’ll be fabulous!)
I also designed a new type of tarot card, which is about to go into publication. You can check it out here or preview the prototype deck here. I’m working hard to have all the changes to the deck (suggested by those using the prototype decks) ready to go for a spring launch.
In an exciting turn of events, I found out that

I’m a Craftster Best of 2010 Winner!
How exciting is that? They chose to feature my post on Drop Pull Eggs (which are on the agenda for the next two months and are the inspiration for the Gypsy Road Tarot mentioned above!)
And, last but certainly not least, not only did I give my blog a face-lift, I promised myself I would post more often, so stay tuned! I hope to get back on track with my themed days, but I’m easy enough on myself to understand that life happens…
My husband convinced me to take some time out of my busy schedule to go take pictures of the sunrise this morning. In true Murphy’s Law fashion, we arrived just before sunrise, only to discover that the SD card in my camera wasn’t working. Rather than give up on the morning, I grabbed the Flip and started shooting. Here’s what I captured.
Ok- back to work! Saponifier’s got a great big issue of rules and regulations about to debut, and I’m still plugging away on the anthology (don’t you love that cover?!), so if I don’t post for a day or three, you’ll know why!
As we’re nearing the end of the creation process, I’m getting more and more excited. I’m ready to share the anthology with the world, but there are still things to be tweaked and perfected. In the meantime, though, I thought I’d give you a sneak peek at the cover art. The image was taken by one of the contributing writers, TS Harrington, who happens to also be a talented fashion photographer and a firefighter- as well as a pretty great sister (but of course, I’m biased, since she’s mine!)
You can check out more of her photography over at Vero Beach Photography. And now, without further ado, the cover:

On a more personal note, my sister and I will be attending the True Blood Ultimate Fan Experience in Royal Palm Beach tonight. I freely admit that I’m completely addicted to the show, as is she- so tonight is shaping up to be a pretty exciting outing for us. I’m sure you’ll hear about it soon!
The anthology is being proofed and is almost ready to send out to the authors for their final approval. I’m very excited about it! In other news, I’ve started selling a few of my images over on Redbubble.com. Here is a sampling…
