Today my thoughts are with all those who fought for a cause, no matter which side of the conflict they may have been on. My hope is that they are all honored with remembrance and understanding, that history sees the truth of their motivations and, if they were participants in unseemly deeds through fear, ignorance, or duty, that they be forgiven. #memorialday

In honor of Memorial Day, here's a collage of my grandparents throughout their service during WWII. Included are photos of my grandmother in Paris and my grandfather at Dunluce Castle in Northern Ireland. By the end of the war, she out-ranked him, something I hear she never let him forget.

My only wish is that I had more; more memories, more stories, more photographs, but most of all, more time with them.
